ADVENTURES OF THE LITTLE BLACK TRACKAS: WALA YEDIBILA (WATER ANIMALS) CHINESE TRANSLATION.

Wala Yedibila in Chinese
This book is about Isaac, an Aboriginal boy who is a Little Black Tracka who tracks Wala Yedibila, the Bangerang name for water animals. It contains words from the Bangerang Language (a Nation of Aboriginal people from the North-East Victoria) to describe the water animals that Isaac tracks that have been translated into Chinese. It contains education and cultural concepts that support the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia of Belonging, Being and Becoming. By privileging Aboriginal culture they give educators the opportunity to ‘respect multiple ways of knowing, seeing, and living and to understand and honor difference’.
