ADVENTURES OF THE LITTLE BLACK TRACKAS BANGERANG LANGUAGE MATCH CARDS

‘The Adventures of the Little Black Trackas’ is an Aboriginal cultural education kit developed for early year’s children aged 0-8 years. The books are written in English but also incorporate words from the language of the Bangerang people from the Victorian Murray Goulburn area. The kit contains five books and a CD telling the five stories.

The first book features Stevie D, a little black tracka who tracks animals; the second book features Jessie-May who gathers insects; the third book features Eva who finds bird feathers; the fourth book features Isaac who finds water animals and the fifth book features Kane who finds his family members.
These beautiful colourful A4 books contain education and cultural concepts that support the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia of Belonging, Being and Becoming. By privileging Aboriginal culture they give educators the opportunity to ‘respect multiple ways of knowing, seeing, and living and to understand and honour difference’. The books come in a beautiful folder with suggestions of activities on the back cover that Educators can use in the early childhood setting
